The most requested
Google Lens search bar for the web version of Google has been included in the
homepage. Now Google Lens can be used in the web version just like in Android
devices.
This feature has been made available through the latest
update released by Google. Now, after going to the browser and searching Google
dotcom, the icon of the same lens appears. Where image short, language
translation, text copy can be done using photos.
Google made this visual search assistant available on its
Pixel phones in 2017 before releasing it on the Android app. Then after 2018,
this feature was available on Android and iOS. After about 4 years, Google has
made this feature available in the web version as well.
For a long time, the feature to search for unnamed objects
through photos was limited to phones only. As a result, even when working on
the computer, in some cases it was necessary to search using photos from the
phone.
Follow the below procedure to use Google's visual search
feature from desktop or any other internet browser.
- First of all go to the browser and search Google dotcom.
- Then click on the camera lens icon on the right side of
the search bar.
- Then the search option is shown by dragging the photo,
uploading it or pasting the link.
- Choose the option that suits you from there.
- After selecting the photo, you can search for the photo,
copy the text or translate it.
The web version does not include other options like homework, shopping, places, dining. These features are expected to be available soon.
