Smartphone cameras and their Uses
Smartphone cameras and their Uses
There became a time when there has been no digital camera
inside the cellphone. Then came a few phones, which protected a single digital
camera. After that, the number of cameras on the phone increases and you can
see six to seven depending on the phone.
For that, you can look at Nokia Zeiss. It has six cameras.
After all, why are there so many cameras on the phone?
The reason behind using multiple cameras in smartphones is
common Many cameras are being utilized in smartphones to compete with DSLR cameras.
The size and space of photos on a smartphone are limited.
Similarly, just as the lens of a DSLR camera can be changed
according to need, the camera of a smartphone cannot be changed.
Therefore, if we compare the quality and features, it can be
assumed that no matter how many cameras a smartphone uses, it cannot compete
with a DSLR.
A DSLR's sensor is complex, while a phone's camera sensor is
simple. Today we are discussing what kind of camera is used in smartphones and
why they are used.
Think about it, what would happen if the smartphone camera
was as big as a DSLR? Of course, it would be a problem to stick it in the hand.
Also, you should have kept it in your pocket.
In this way, since using a large camera cannot reach the
quality of a DSLR, many cameras are used in smartphones. Many sensors are used
to supply the lack of the same sensor in the smartphone. Many sensors are used
to supply the lack of the same sensor in the smartphone.
Every sensor in a smartphone has its own unique
characteristics. In some cases, smartphones include fake cameras for the
purpose of showing multiple cameras.
Camera sensors in smartphones and their uses
Standard camera
The standard camera is also known as the main camera of the
phone. Through this any photo can be taken in a simple way. No effects should
be used in the photos taken by the main camera.
The main camera is used when live photos are taken for
social media. If you're not interested in any kind of photography, you don't
really care about the main camera.
Depth sensor camera
A depth sensor camera is used for taking portrait photos. A
portrait photo is one whose background is blurred. A depth sensor is used to
blur the background.
The depth sensor detects the distance between the camera and
the object being photographed and blurs the background. Portrait photos are
often used as profile photos on social media.
Ultra-wide sensor camera
Even from its name, one can guess what the ultra-wide sensor
camera does. It is especially used to take wide-angle photos.
An ultra-wide sensor can be used if an object is large and
needs to be included in a single frame. Before discussing this further, let us
get into the technical side of it. The focal length is shorter for ultra-wide
sensors. The relationship between focal length and viewing angle (the angle at
which the display correctly displays any scene) is inversely proportional. This
means that the shorter the focal length, the greater the viewing angle. It is
mostly used for taking group photos.
Telephoto sensor camera
In general, a telephoto camera helps you take photos by
zooming like a telescope. Again, this does not mean that it takes photographs
of the same level as a telescope. This is taken as an example only.
If you try to zoom in from the main camera, the photo becomes
pixelated (blurred). If you zoom in using the main camera to take a photo of
any distant object, the quality will be very low. In this case, you can use a
telephoto sensor.
Macro sensor camera
Do you like taking pictures of any small objects? If so, then
a macro sensor camera is perfect for you.
A macro sensor camera usually magnifies any object by
showing it close. It takes detailed photos of any object. If you photograph an
insect sitting somewhere, you can use a macro sensor.
Monochrome sensor camera
The monochrome sensor captures any photo without reducing
its sharpness. As it provides contrast to the photo, the photo looks better.
You can take black and white photos with a normal camera.
However, its process is being done by the monochrome sensor. Compared to
different sensors, monochrome sensor cameras are not often used.
